Am I a candidate for derma fillers? Anyone in good health and looking to reduce signs of aging, improve lines and wrinkles and optimize facial features is a good candidate. The treatment can be done for all men and women over 21 years of age and in all skin types. Dr. Laronn will conduct a consultation before your treatment to assess your condition and determine the best type of facial filler for you.
Does it hurt? Is it a safe treatment? Injectable dermal fillers are generally not painful. Juvederm & Restylane come premixed with lidocaine aesthetic to maximize comfort. Minimal discomfort may be reported by patients with anxiety or low pain tolerance. Dr. Laronn applies a topical anesthetic cream and uses cannulas( special needles) to make the procedure comfortable. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally sugar compound found in the skin that gives the tissues support, strength and hydration. Because it’s not recognized as a foreign substance, the body slowly metabolizes it. HA acid is 100% dissolvable so the aesthetic outcome can be tailored if needed.
