Am I a candidate? Sculptra treatments are suitable for men and women with facial volume loss, resulting in premature aging features, such as sunken, thinned face, folds and wrinkles. Sculptra can be done in any skin type and any age, men and women over 21 years of age Sculptra should be avoided by patients with tendency for poor healing, hypertrophic or keloid scarring.
Does Sculptra hurt? Sculptra is well tolerated by most patients. The administered injection is mixed with lidocaine anesthetic for increased comfort. Dr Laronn administers Sculptra through special needles(canulas) to reduce discomfort, bruising and potential complications. Sculptra injections are placed deep on the bone for structural support or under the skin for increased firmness and wrinkle correction. Due to its placement, bruising is rare and not usually visible. How Many Treatments Will I Need? On average, you will have 2 to 3 treatment sessions over the course of a few months. The number of injections at each session will vary based on the treatment plan determined Dr. Laronn.
